Management Team

John Herring, President and CEO

John Herring has served as President, CEO and a Director since joining iMove in 2004. Prior to iMove, he was a founder, President and CEO of Wireless Matrix, a leading provider of mobile workforce services and products. Previously, John worked in the defense and business imaging markets with LaserAccess Corporation, Kodak and DBA Systems. He served as a Navy Officer in the nuclear-powered submarine program and his education includes an MBA, George Washington University and BS, The Citadel.

Roger Thomas, Executive Vice President, Homeland Security

Roger Thomas leads iMove’s business development efforts in the Homeland Security market. Roger is the former CEO of iMove, and was responsible for iMove’s strategic focus on surveillance applications for the Intelligence and DoD markets. Prior to joining iMove, Inc., he was an Investor and Director of Templex Technology, Inc. responsible for the company focus, building a team, and acquiring capital investment for product development and patent filings process, and led initial discussions for and investment by, and ultimate sale to, Intel Corporation. As President and CEO of Paralon Technologies, Inc. from 1994 to 1996, Roger was responsible for raising initial seed capital, defining initial product, and in January 1995, closing additional $1 million in venture investment. He has established a strong sales presence in Washington DC.

Rick Mandrell, Vice President, Program and Product Management

Rick Mandrell is responsible for iMove product management, including identifying key product features and technical requirements. He is also responsible for program and contract management on system procurement contracts, as well as customer service and technical support. Rick has over twenty years of professional management experience in high growth, technology development companies, with extensive experience in product development of digital imaging systems in security and mapping applications. Recently, he was President and COO of Templex Technology, Inc. an optical communications technology startup in Eugene, Oregon, which was acquired by Intel Corp. He received his BS and Masters in Electrical Engineering from Rice University.
